Ziji is a registered clinician from New York who received her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, and her B.A. in Neuroscience from Smith College.
Ziji spent fifteen years at wellness retreat centers, part of which she built live CE training workshops on topics including Mindfulness (MBSR), Acceptance (ACT), Self-compassion (MBSC), Trauma (EMDR), and couples work, with world-renowned leaders in the field. Ziji brings a holistic perspective to her sessions.
Ziji completed Sutrayana Seminary, a Shambhala Buddhist training program; studied and practiced under yogic masters in India; and completed her masters at a Christian University. In addition to relying on evidence-based treatments, Ziji includes a spiritual dimension to her work, when appropriate, with religious and spiritual clients, as well as when addressing existential questions.
As a clinician, Ziji works from a Mind-Body-Spirit approach with children, adolescents, adults, and holds a special place for elderly clients. Her competencies include Person-Centered therapy, Cognitive-behavioral therapy, Solution-Focused therapy, Existential therapy, and Mindfulness approaches.
