Laura Weinberg

Laura Weinberg is a Graduate Counseling Intern, pursuing her Master’s in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University. Laura received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Sociology from Duke University where she was a Division I student-athlete and an Academic All-American. Most recently, Laura dedicated the past 7 years of her life to her work at a large technology company where she partnered with clients across consulting and career-coaching capacities. She has fine-tuned these skills to translate naturally to the therapeutic alliance.

Laura is warm, emotionally attuned, and curious, allowing clients to feel that they can be their most authentic and unfiltered selves. Her level-headed and supportive approach to problem-solving gives clients the space to act as agents of their own change. Laura believes that every person has complete control over their narrative and that the ability to create an optimal life is always achievable. Laura is goal-oriented and outcomes-based – she is passionate about empowering people with the resources and tools to succeed and she has the ability to creatively collaborate with clients on reaching and exceeding their goals. She views challenges as opportunities and helps clients to create positive outcomes and facilitate self-transformation.
