Eva Conkright, LCSW

Eva Conkright, LCSW believes "Therapy reminds you that you have all the answers you need to feel better and to live a great life”.  Eva sees her job as assisting clients in navigating through the therapy process.  She believes in a collaborative and strength-based approach to therapy, where the individual and/or family learn to utilize their inner strengths and their natural social supports to accomplish their therapy goals.

When working with adolescents, children, and adults, Eva utilizes an eclectic approach to her work. She incorporates elements from diverse therapeutic modalities tailored to each individual. Eva is a bilingual licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with extensive postgraduate training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Parent Management Training, and Crisis Interventions.

Eva has extensive experience treating trauma, including PTSD. She uses Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy, the most effective treatment for trauma-related difficulties in children and adolescents. Eva has lead and co-lead adolescents and adult DBT skills groups, and provided intensive individual DBT services, including skills coaching by telephone.  In her work with young and school-age children, Eva uses Parent Management Training (PMT), a program that assists parents in managing their children’s’ behavioral problems, both at home and in school.

Eva Conkright, LCSW is a bilingual psychotherapist (English-Spanish) who received her M.P.S. in Interactive Telecommunications from New York University and M.S.W. from Fordham University, NY NY. Eva has practiced clinical psychotherapy therapy with adolescents, children, and adults, in private practice as well as mobile, intensive outpatient, and school-based mental health settings in New York and Florida.
