Aida Girod LMHC MS graduated from Florida International University in 2005 with a Masters in Science. Aida is experienced treating depression, anxiety, women issues, relationship issues, life stages adjustments, stress management, communication skills, sexual abuse, domestic violence, trauma, adolescent issues, family therapy and couples therapy. Aida’s main theoretical approach is eclectic and holistic but with an emphasis on Cognitive-Behavioral techniques, Psychoeducation and Psychoanalysis.
Aida is an empathetic, non-judgmental, supportive and client centered counselor with vast experience and knowledge on the complexity and uniqueness of Miami’s culture and its challenges. Aida teaches clients coping skills and strategies to deal with life’s changes and stressors which, consequently, will improve their physical, mental and emotional health.
