Tammy Vazquez, MHCI is a bilingual registered clinician. Tammy believes there are partners out there for everyone who desires relationships whether it’s life long, romantic, temporary, etc, and the best ones can appear in your life when you least expect it. “In relationships, it’s important to accept that as much as someone may love and accept you, they are allowed to have negative thoughts and emotions towards you, too!” Tammy is getting advanced training specifically for couples and enjoys guiding couples to better communication skills, reaching couple’s dream goals, enhancing intimacy and connection, establishing boundaries, learning to forgive, and exploring new couples’ ideas. Tammy’s preferred approaches with couples therapy is emotionally focused and imago relationship therapy because the combination of these two help couples build a bridge towards each other to fall in love with their flaws.

Tammy has provided individual, couples, family, and group therapy for different populations: children, young adults, adults, and seniors. She has experience working with behavioral issues, lack of social cues issues, divorce, sexual issues, career guidance, anxiety, depression, grief, emotion regulation, and self-esteem issues. Tammy uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, social and assertiveness training, and mindfulness.

Tammy earned a Master degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lynn University and is pursuing licensure in the state of Florida. Tammy is originally from Chicago, IL where she began her career path and earned a B.S in Psychology and minor in Communications from Loyola University Chicago. Tammy also lived in Ecuador for 6 years where she taught meditation to individuals of all ages. Tammy loved getting a full experience of her heritage culture.
